「ボーダーランズ4」，ストーリートレイラーを公開。ヴォルトハンターたちがタイムキーパーの独裁を脅かす

　Gearbox Softwareと2K Gamesは，2025年9月12日に発売が予定されているシューティングRPG「ボーダーランズ4」（PC / PS5 / Xbox Series X|S。Switch2版は2025年内に発売予定）のストーリートレイラーと，ファンフェスタのライブストリーミング映像を公開した。


　「ボーダーランズ4」は，前作「ボーダーランズ3」から6年後の世界が舞台となる。衛星エルピスのパンドラへの衝突は回避できたものの，エルピスは遥か彼方にある未知の惑星カイロスの軌道にまでテレポートしてしまった。
　カイロスでは，独裁者である「タイムキーパー」が何千年ものあいだ，「ヴォルト」と呼ばれるチップを人々に埋め込みすべてを支配してきた。しかし，エルピスの到来によりカイロスのシールドが破壊され，混沌と内乱が発生。プレイヤーたちは，タイムキーバー打倒の革命を起こすために，広大でシームレスにつながったカイロスを冒険することになる。


　トレイラーは，エルピスとともにカイロスに移動していた主人公の「ヴォルトハンター」たちがタイムキーパーに捕らえられ，チップを埋め込まれたようなシーンで始まる。そして，クイーン・カリス（Queen Callis）という巨大なアームを装備した軍勢「ザ・リッパー」によって救出された主人公たちは，「クリムゾン・レジスタンス」に参加し，戦いの中に身を投じていくことになるようだ。
　新しい4人のプレイヤーキャラクターや，タイムキーパーのほか，主人公たちと同じようにカイロスまでやってきたと思われる，モクシーやゼイン，クラップトップといったキャラクターたちの姿も確認できる。



　一方，ファンフェスタのライブストリーミング映像には，ゲームプレイの様子がたっぷりと収録されている。約3時間半にもおよぶ映像だが，見どころは満載なのでチェックしてみてほしい。
